It’s the spark that starts it all.
Visions are something we all aspire to achieve. It’s those special moments in a random day, in a random hour, in a random place where you are hit so hard with a vision that you can’t fight it back. You have this underlying desire to make it a reality. It becomes all you think about, taking over all your thoughts and actions every minute of the day. It defines who you want to be and what you want to be remembered for. It’s what keeps you going through the barriers of life. It gives you directions that help you plan your future and an action plan for achieving that.
Visions have evolved humankind to where it is today.
Vision is something we, human beings, had been experiencing since the stone age. It’s only when we act on those visions and put them into practice do we bring innovations. And this is the most empowering accomplishment we can achieve.
Life was simple with the struggle of food and survival in the stone age. Humans saw a vision for coming over these barriers. They formed a community and started group hunting for foods. Then they evolved into farmers. This is how one vision led to the creation of a well-structured society with self-sufficient food supply.
“Anything’s possible if you have got enough nerve.”– J.K. Rowling
Telephones, computers, the internet – these things that we use on a regular basis in our daily life are the ultimate result of the visions of some truly genius minds. Alexander Graham Bell had a vision for distant communication and thus created the first telephone. Charles Babbage created the first computer, and, with the vision of Alan Turing, computers have come this far. Steve Jobs had a vision for cell phones and introduced the iPhone. Even our medical science is the result of a vision.
Innovation is the future. We wouldn’t have a future without innovation. And without vision, innovation is not possible.
Anybody can do it
We, as humans, have the power to do anything we want. As long as we can take our vision and break it down into a realistic approach to turn it into a reality, we humans are truly unstoppable. And that is how we make innovation. This is the most fascinating thing about innovation, and also the hardest part. Sadly, many people get stuck at these first building steps.
You must never stop believing in your vision. No matter how hard it gets, you should always keep trying. Success will come eventually. Remember, try and fail but never stop trying. This is because, if you do not try, you will never know how successful your vision can be.
For example, look at Jack Ma – the founder of Alibaba. Before he became one of the richest people in the world, he was just a normal guy who got rejected on many interview boards. But his persistence and vision led him to the creation of Alibaba, one of the biggest worldwide online shopping platforms.
In short, if Jack Ma can do it, so can you, and everyone. But you have to give it a try first.
Do you want to test it out for yourself?
Many of us have trouble finding our visions in the first place. It is important that we have a clear picture of our vision, or else we will be stuck with uncertainty. So, here is what you can do to get a clear picture of your vision.
First, pick a time and a place where you can relax. Then get in the mood to think about your aim and vision. Film yourself for one hour talking about your visions. Try to answer what kind of life you want to live within the next 5 years, what kind of surroundings you want, what type of people you want in life, what you want to accomplish with your current capabilities, what would make you proud, how you want to be remembered by the world, and so on.
Then sleep on it and watch the video the next day. Analyze every sentence you said on that video including your voice tone and gesture. Take notes about them. Learn about what you liked and what you didn’t like from that video. Write down the things you liked and focus on them. And improve on the things you didn’t like by trying to see them differently. This will help you get a clear picture of your vision.
If you can get a full and clear picture of your vision, you can easily plan the approach to achieving it and thus you will be able to turn your vision into reality. But remember, your visions must have a deadline, be it 1 year or 5 years. This is because if you do not know when you want to achieve them, you will never be able to plan your course of action for them.
You will find that this simple activity will enhance your visions and challenge you to think more about your ideas. These ideas will continue to improve and, before you know it, you will have some great content to start telling the world about!
Sadly, many people do not take the time to do such a simple activity. They show many hilarious excuses for not having enough time. These people do not realize how important vision is for success and development. This is why I urge you to try this simple test and get a full understanding of your vision. After all, without a vision, we are all lost souls traveling in an empty void.
Why is vision important?
Some people will say that vision is a childish luxury and it is a waste of time thinking about it. If you truly want to know the importance of vision and its impact in one’s life, then do the following:
Choose an established, interesting person. Then observe them and their actions. Do the same thing for a person who has not accomplished much in life.
After observing their actions, you will realize that those who are established have visions. They know what they want now and what must be done after accomplishing it. It is like they know the future.
On the other hand, the people who are stuck in life do not have a vision or do not have a clear picture of it.
From this observation, you can easily understand the importance of vision.
Vision leads to success and change in life.
In some cases, you might notice that success in life makes a person think about their vision, which is totally the opposite of what we learned.
Well, that’s because vision and success are dependent on each other. They are like Yin and Yang. One cannot be accomplished without the other, regardless of which end you pick to begin with.
You will be ahead of your competition.
Most visions stay a vision and never get to see the light of day. This is because people have a hard time turning it into reality.
Entrepreneurs need to focus on creating the right content in order to be ahead in the market. This content will draw people to your website, social media pages, YouTube channel, podcast, or blog posts.
Take a look at Felix Kjellberg and Mark Edward Fischbach. They are both famous Youtubers.
Felix Kjellberg, also known as PewDiePie, had a vision of himself becoming a Youtube star. He started making gameplay videos in 2010. It was way ahead of his time, as gaming was criticized badly at that time. He faced many criticisms as a result. But he managed to use these criticisms to his advantage to overcome his barriers. Now he is loved by people all around the world, and his channel has over 107 million subscribers.
The same can be said about Mark Edward Fischbach, known as Markiplier. Except, he had to sacrifice his engineering degree and his mother kicked him out of the house. His vision not only made him a Youtube star but also an actor and a comedian.
The moral of both their stories is that the hardest part is the beginning and keeping up with it.
So you see, the hardest part about starting a business is taking the first step of creating your online presence, and for that, you need to focus on creating the content. If you keep documenting your ideas with videos you will not only have a ton of content, but you will get good at selling your new business idea to the world.
You are the only person who will be able to convince people to love your new business. So you must be strategic with your offers and features.
I love to think outside the box
I am eager to help others with their vision. But remember, no matter how much help you will get, you will not be able to succeed if you do not try anything yourself and learn from your failures.
That being said, if you want to chat more about how I can help kick start your vision, then shoot me an email!
